At last night's meeting, Mr. Saum needed to leave a little early. He emailed me his liaison report for the Airport Advisory Board so I could report it out at the end of the meeting. Unfortunately, I forgot about the email and did not report it out. I'm creating this discussion board item to make sure his report gets out to council and citizens.
My apologies to Mr. Saum for letting this slip my mind last night.

My apologies to Mr. Saum for letting this slip my mind last night.
- Mayor, I am needing to leave early, here is the AAB report from their meeting this past week.
- Gave a history of the 2012 and 2018 congressional acts and re-authorizations.
- Suggested the email exchange between the Mayor and the AAB be put into a packet for council the next time the Airport is on the agenda.
- Discussed TxDOT’s proposed 2026 CIP
- Made a motion to draft a letter of intent with the city manager to approve going after these TxDOT CIP projects and that funding.
- Subcommittee for community outreach is meeting to discuss ideas like airshows, community events, an aviation day resolution. Has already met with our Economic Development and events team.
- Funding and Finance subcommittee looking at an audit of expenses at the airport to see the real costs of operating the airport.
- Could we be using RAMP more? It is a 90/10 match up to $100k. We should look into what we are spending that could be paid for in this.
- Can we get the PAPPI covered in August under RAMP funds? If they can installed in August, maybe. (Cassie is the TxDOT contact for eGrants on the RAMP program, James will put Charles in touch)
