Agenda Item #5: Charter Review Committee Changes 6/5/2025

Sorry, I submitted the above message too soon. The Amended Agenda has added work session #5 to discuss the proposed changes by the Charter Review Committee. As the amended packet does not have any attachments, I wanted to add the committees working drafts, so you have something to review. Please keep in mind, the Committee still has 2 meetings left and a little more work to do. They meet later today and on June 18th. The chairwoman has provided these documents, so we will have something to review when they give us their update tomorrow. The working draft of their redlines was too large of a file to upload here, so I had to split it into 4 PDFs.
As the CRC committee was not given much advanced notice they were added to the amended agenda on Monday, I ask that you do not go too into the weeds with them tomorrow, as we will be working on this for the next couple of months. I know the committee is happy to go into a deep dive, but I think it would be more efficient for Council to spend more time researching the proposed changes and utilizing this discussion board to give them advanced notice of questions so that they can better prepare. I look forward to working on this with you all.
