Fellow PRAC members -
A quick review of what has been discussed in recent Subcommittee meetings.
- We’ve firmed up the proposed introduction section.
- We’ve reviewed and gleaned useful data from pgs 75-83 of the Halff plan from last year.
- We’re working on getting a new land use map created that accurately shows the relatively small amount of city-owned parks within the city limits. We will not include the LVPOA parks, Balcones, the LV Golf Course, Arkansas Bend, and Pace Bend. All are on the current map(s) and artificially skew the observer into thinking the City of Lago Vista provides more parklands than e we actually do.
- We will be reviewing pgs 66-75 of the Halff plan - Current Parks Inventory - at our next meeting ( The day after our scheduled meeting on 4/8).
- We’ve discussed the feasibility of providing a dog park, frisbee golf, etc., at Sunset Park, which is, frankly, the only park with room for expansion.
- We’ve discussed the feasibility of a joint venture with the LVPOA, particularly with regard to new, connecting trails.
Please consider these ideas and feel free to discuss at our next scheduled meeting on 4/8.
